ADDING PHASES | DARLING_PHASING_1800_1200_100_RIGHT_EXPORT_AS_144_DPI_C-01.jpg
Budget constraints required a master site and a floor plan for additions built in phases. The site design reconfigures vehicular site access to the rear alley to free up land for a new front entrance sequence, a family room, an additional bathroom and bedroom, a lap pool, outdoor dining and entertaining spaces, and two garages with storage spaces. A new bathroom and bedroom with clerestory windows comprise the first phase. In the second phase, a glazed curvilinear building volume, separate garage structures, a lap pool, and interior modifications complete the site and building transformation. The curvilinear volume provides for a new family room, main entrance, a circulation device, and transparency for views to the lap pool from the study, dining room, kitchen, and family room. At night, the lap pool serves as a reflection pond and a water feature in the new front entrance sequence.
